The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has finally announced the class 12 (Senior Secondary) exam results. Students who appeared in the exam can download their scorecards using their roll number or name on the login page, available on pseb.ac.in. According to the results, the overall pass percentage for this year stands at 91 per cent. In the recent board exam results, rural areas outperformed urban areas with a pass percentage of 91.20% compared to 90.74%. A total of 149,085 students from rural areas appeared for the exam, with 135,969 passing. In urban areas, 116,303 students appeared, and 105,537 passed.
Gender-wise pass percentage
Gender-wise, girls surpassed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 94.32%. Of the 124,229 girls who appeared, 117,175 passed. Among boys, 141,156 appeared, with 124,328 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 88.08%.
School-wise pass percentage
School-wise, government schools recorded a pass percentage of 91.01%, while recognised schools had 86.86%. Non-government schools led with a pass percentage of 92.47%.
In the Class 12 results, 91% of students passed, with 241,506 out of 265,388 students clearing the exam.
Toppers name
Harsimrat Kaur from Sarvitkari Senior Secondary School, Barnala, topped the board with a perfect score of 500/500. Girls dominated the top ranks, with Mandeep Kaur and Arshit securing joint second place, each scoring 498 marks.
